In a letter to her Democrat colleagues on Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi actually called for a “9/11-type Commission” to investigate and issue a report on last month’s Antifa-instigated riot at the U.S. Capitol which has led to Trump supporters being smeared as domestic terrorists.
“It may be difficult for Members to share their stories, but it is important to facilitate an accurate personal record and for the healing process for our Congress and indeed, Country,” Pelosi wrote . “We will need to establish a 9/11-type Commission to examine and report upon the facts, causes and security relating to the terrorist mob attack on January 6” — as if that event is equivalent to the 9/11 Islamic terror attacks in which nearly 3000 Americans were intentionally murdered.
The January 6 incident prompted the House to impeach former President Trump for purportedly instigating it, which he demonstrably did not. The vote passed the Democrat-controlled lower chamber by 232-197, with 10 Republican lawmakers voting against Trump. The Senate’s impeachment trial is scheduled to begin on February 9.
Democrats seem to think that healing the country’s vitriolic, hyper-partisan divide means: punishing former President Trump, his entire administration, and all Americans who voted for him last November in an election stained by massive Democrat voter fraud. Since then, the left has demonized Trump and his supporters as the literal equivalent of Osama Bin Laden and al Qaeda, cancelled Trump and other conservatives on social media, and threatened to send the children of Trump supporters to re-education camps.
