Thursday during a weekly press conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced a plan to launch a partisan investigation into what she falsely termed the Capitol Hill “insurrection” on January 6.
“This morning with great solemnity and sadness I’m announcing that the House will be establishing a select committee on the January 6th insurrection,” she said with a pleased look on her face. The committee is charged to “investigate and report on the facts and the causes of the attack and it will report recommendations for the prevention of any future attack.”
Once again: there was no “insurrection” or “attack” on the Capitol on Jan. 6. The Antifa-instigated chaos has been blown up into the most outrageous threat to democracy since the Civil War, according to hysterical Democrats who have decided to weaponize the event against Trump supporters.
And while Pelosi proudly announces an investigation into the events of January 6, she ignores Republican demands to launch an investigation into the possible bio-weapon origins of the far more serious coronavirus — because there’s no upside for the Democrats to do that.
