Omar Slams McCarthy Over Vow to Bar Her from Committees

In a lengthy statement antisemitic Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) slammed House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for vowing to kick her off of her committees when he becomes Speaker of the House.

“From the moment I was elected, the Republican Party has made it their mission to use fear, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and racism to target me on the House Floor and through millions of dollars of campaign ads,” she claimed after McCarthy renewed his “promise” to bar the congresswoman from committees.

McCarthy, whom House Republicans nominated to be Speaker, told Breitbart News last January that he would strip Omar of her committee assignment on the House Foreign Affairs Committee as well as Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) of their assignments on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI). He renewed his pledge last weekend on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures.

“McCarthy’s effort to repeatedly single me out for scorn and hatred, including threatening to strip me from my committee, does nothing to address the issues our constituents deal with,” she added. “It does nothing to address inflation, healthcare, or solve the climate crisis.”

Omar claimed falsely that the only thing McCarthy’s “threat” does is “gin up fear and hate against Somali Americans and anyone who shares my identity, and further divide us along racial and ethnic lines.”

“It is a continuation of a sustained campaign against Muslim and African voices, people his party have been trying to ban since Donald Trump first ran for office,” she added.

Blah blah blah. The statement is nothing but the usual victimhood blather from the anti-American, antisemitic, immigration fraudster. The real “threat” is not McCarthy’s vow, but Omar’s continued presence on committees that are vital to national security.
