Breitbart News reports that corrupt, sharia-supporting, immigrant fraud and Rep. Ilhan Omar reintroduced legislation that would cancel and forgive nationwide rent and mortgage payments throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
“While the American Rescue Plan extends the national rent moratorium—this is not a longterm solution. People across this country will be forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars in back rent when it ends,” Omar said in a statement. “No one should be forced to choose between putting food on the table and keeping a roof over their heads,” said the bill’s co-sponsor, Rep. Mondaire Jones.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley, also a co-sponsor and a fellow member with Omar of the radical “Squad” of congresswomen, remarked, “With the economic impact of this pandemic worsening and the threat of eviction and homelessness looming large for families nationwide, we must take every measure possible to keep families safely housed, forgive all rental debt, and ensure that the credit scores of hard hit families are not forever tarnished.”
The total price tag of forgiving the loans and rental payments has not been specified but would likely be enormous, and the pandemic lockdowns were implemented almost entirely by Democrat leaders who seized the coronavirus opportunity to drive America’s economy into a ditch and blame it on former President Trump. Now these big-government power-mongers want us to believe that they’ve got our backs and are generously helping us “put food on the table and keep a roof over our heads.”
