Omar: ‘Confront’ the ‘Fever of Right-Wing Nationalism’

July 25, 2019

In an op-ed in the New York Times Thursday, Rep. Ilhan Omar launched a vicious attack against President Trump, urging readers to “affirmatively confront” him and his “racist policies” and the worldwide “fever of right-wing nationalism.”

“It is not enough to condemn Mr. Trump’s racism,” Omar wrote in the op-ed titled, “It Is Not Enough to Condemn Trump’s Racism.” “We must affirmatively confront racist policies,” she added, falsely claiming that Trump’s policies include “the caging of immigrant children at the border,” “the banning of Muslim immigrants,” and “the allowing of segregation in public housing.”

The Muslim Congresswoman who has sparked controversy and condemnation for her repeated anti-Semitic comments and refusal to condemn Islamic terrorism then went on to fear-monger that “right-wing nationalism in Hungary, Russia, France, Britain and elsewhere is on the march in ways not seen in decades… If we succumb to the fever of right-wing nationalism, it will have consequences far beyond our borders.”
