Olbermann Slams Judge’s Ruling Against ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban

June 8, 2021

Washed-up ESPN commenter and political performance artist Keith Olbermann delivered a typically unhinged response on Saturday upon learning that U.S. District Judge Roger T. Benitez had ruled against California’s “assault weapons” ban.

Olbermann wrote on Twitter that Benitez is a “death-worshiping, fascist” for supporting the Constitutional right of Americans to bear arms, and pointed out that the word “own” doesn’t appear in the 2nd Amendment — as if that somehow validates the left’s gun-grabbing impulse to render American citizens defenseless against their government tyranny. “We can no longer tolerate gun nuts in the judiciary,” Olbermann declared — as if anyone care about his juvenile pontifications.

Benitez handed down his ruling in Miller v. Bonta on June 4, 2021, declaring California’s ban unconstitutional but issuing a 30-day stay on his injunction to give the California Attorney General a time frame in which to appeal the ruling.

As Breitbart New notes, it’s true: the word “own” does not appear in the 2nd Amendment. But the words “of the people” do.
