Ocasio-Cortez: Trump ‘Is Scared’ to Attack Me in Person

February 26, 2020

Tuesday on the morning radio show The Breakfast Club, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) stated amusingly that President Trump is “scared” to confront her.

Asked about her online critics, Ocasio-Cortez said, “The thing about the internet is it just puts dehumanization on hyperspeed. And we see that all the way from our schools up to adults. It’s just too easy now for a kid to drop a comment, for a person to drop a comment that they would ever say in real life.”

“Like with the president,” one co-host said. “The president threw some shots at you that I think he would never say to your face.”

“Oh no, he would not,” AOC said. “Yeah, he never would, like, keep that same energy when he meets me.”

Another co-host suggested that if Trump doesn’t like you, it means you’re “doing something right.” AOC responded, “Well, I mean, I think he’s scared. I think he is scared.” Trump, of course, has clearly demonstrated he isn’t afraid of any Democrat.
