Ocasio-Cortez: Republicans ‘Scared’ of Popular Vote

August 26, 2019

On Twitter Friday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) continued to attack the Electoral College, calling the Constitutional election system the equivalent of “electoral affirmative action” for rural Americans.

“If the GOP were the ‘silent majority’ they claim, they wouldn’t be so scared of a popular vote,” the radical AOC tweeted. “They *know* they aren’t the majority. They rely on establishing minority rule for power.”

“We do not give electoral affirmative action to any other group in America,” the socialist Congresswoman added. “Do Black Americans have their votes count more bc they have been disenfranchised for 100s of years? Do Reservations get an electoral vote? Does Puerto Rico and US territories get them? No. They don’t.”

The Left, which prefers mob rule to representative democracy, has never been able to accept Hillary Clinton’s traumatizing 2016 loss to Donald Trump despite winning the popular vote.
