During a campaign rally in Georgia for Democrats on Friday, former (?) President Barack Obama criticized, without a hint of self-awareness, Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker for being a “celebrity.”
“It seems to me he’s a celebrity who wants to be a politician. And we’ve seen how that goes!” he said at a rally for black radicals Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and election denier Stacey Abrams, referring to the presidency of former President Trump.
Actually, things went very well under former celebrity Trump. But could Obama’s criticism not apply to Rock Star Barack himself?
“Some of you may not remember, but Herschel Walker was a heck of a football player,” Obama continued, calling him “one of the best running backs of all time. But here’s a question: does that make him the best person to represent you in the US Senate? Does that make him equipped to weigh in on the critical decisions about our economy and our foreign policy and our future?”
No, but Walker’s policy stances do qualify him to represent us, and people are recognizing that. The whole reason Obama is stumping for the corrupt Warnock is that Democrats are freaking out about polls showing Walker in the lead.
