Former President Barack Obama will begin making campaign appearances in Ohio and California in the coming weeks in support of Democratic candidates against Republican incumbents in the 2018 midterm elections.

A spokeswoman for Obama’s office said Obama would be active “in local, down-ballot races to build the Democratic Party’s bench.”
