Obama: Biden ‘Really Doesn’t Have’ Intimate Bond With Voters

November 26, 2019

Former President Barack Obama reportedly told an unnamed 2020 presidential candidate that his former VP and current White House hopeful Joe Biden lacks an “intimate bond” with voters.

Politico’s Ryan Lizza reported that Obama sometimes “offers candid advice about his visitors’ strengths and weaknesses. With several lesser-known candidates, according to people who have talked to him or been briefed on his meetings, he was blunt about the challenges of breaking out of a large field…

“Occasionally, he can be cutting,” Lizza continued. “With one candidate, he pointed out that during his own 2008 campaign, he had an intimate bond with the electorate, especially in Iowa, that he no longer has. Then he added, ‘And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden.’”

The only thing Biden has ever had going for him as a presidential candidate is his tenuous connection to the left’s Messiah Obama, who has refused to endorse Biden’s candidacy. Obama’s explicit evaluation that Biden “really doesn’t have it” could sink Joe’s chances.
