In a speech at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, former President Barack Obama stated that party nominee Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris understand that “a free press isn’t the enemy,” while President Trump “and those who enable him have shown they don’t believe in these things.”
After criticizing Trump as president, Obama claimed Biden and Harris understand that “a free press isn’t the enemy, but the way we hold officials accountable.”
“None of this should be controversial,” added the president whom the press treated like the Messiah. “These shouldn’t be Republican or Democratic principles. They are American principles. But at this moment, this president and those who enable him have shown they don’t believe in these things.”
Obama and “those who enable him” — i.e. the progressive mainstream press — know full well that the U.S. doesn’t have a bipartisan press that holds officials on both left and right accountable. We have an activist 5th column complicit in sabotaging Trump’s presidency.
