A New Hampshire poll released Sunday shows that state Democrats prefer socialists Sen. Elizabeth Warren or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over Hillary Clinton.
According to an NH Journal poll, 55% of state Democrats believe Warren best represents their party. Ocasio-Cortez was second with 28%. Just 17% preferred Clinton.
“The fact that so many Democrats in New Hampshire see Sen. Warren as an accurate reflection of their party isn’t that surprising,” said the NH Journal publisher in a statement. “But the fact that Hillary Clinton, an icon of the party for 30 years, trails a progressive activist newcomer like Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is astonishing.”
