New Nike Shoe Commemorates Kaepernick’s Anthem Protest

December 18, 2019

Sportswear giant Nike will be releasing a new product memorializing the first time now-unemployable NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick protested police brutality by sitting out the national anthem in 2016.

Nike is issuing the Colin Kaepernick x Nike Air Force 1, a sneaker bearing the date of the first time he stayed seated during the national anthem.

“This special edition Nike Air Force 1 comes dressed in a Black and White color scheme,” Breitbart reports. “It features a Black leather upper, a gradient-faded Swoosh on the sides completed with several personal details. A hangtag with Kaep’s number 7 atop a white midsole and icy translucent outsole with the date Colin first took a knee in protest ‘8/14/16’ on the right shoe finishes the design.” A stylized image of Kaepernick in oversized Afro adorns the heel tabs.

Kaepernick isn’t a civil rights champion; as his Discover the Networks profile proves, he’s an America-hating, cop-hating, Communist dictator-loving radical. Nike’s lionization of him shows the company’s true colors.
