During a Morning Joe appearance Monday, MSNBC Hardball host Chris Matthews claimed that former Vice President Joe Biden is making a bid for the White House in order to save the country from President Trump and “Trumpism.”
“Biden is basically running for America against Trump,” Matthews said. “He’s trying to rescue us from Trumpism and Trump himself.”
“His emotion is patriotic. It’s not anger,” he added, noting that too many of Biden’s fellow Democrat challengers, such as Sen. Bernie Sanders, are “all about anger.”
