In this time of pandemic, anti-Trump celebrities are just resorting to making up ridiculous claims now. Former entertainer Bette Midler, for example, has declared laughably that the president’s “overwhelming jealousy” of his predecessor Barack Obama “will kill us all.”
Politico reports that the Trump administration has opted against reopening Obamacare’s Healthcare.gov marketplaces for a special enrollment period; a White House official said the administration is “exploring other options.” Politico also noted that the Affordable Care Act already allows a special enrollment for people who have lost their workplace health plans.
Midler then took to Twitter, where all celebs go to vent their virtue-signaling political expertise: “There is no end to the cruelty and malignancy of @realdonaldjtrump and his horrifying administration. His overwhelming jealousy of @BarackObama will kill us all.”
The idea that Donald Trump is jealous, much less overwhelmingly so, of America’s worst president is completely absurd.
