Former First Lady Michelle Obama told a crowd in Las Vegas Sunday night that she is “frustrated” with the current political scene and her husband Barack was “a great president.”
“I am sick of all the chaos and the nastiness of our politics,” she said, appearing on behalf of the nonprofit When We All Vote, which she launched in July. She claims it’s nonpartisan, but critics say the group’s rallies are just a voter registration drive for Democrats.
“We get the leaders we vote for, we get the policies we vote for, and when we don’t vote, that’s when we wind up with government of, by and for other people,” she told the crowd. “Because you can’t vote some of the time and then sit out. You know we saw that happen. We experienced that. We had a great president.”
