Former First Lady Michelle Obama, who never passes up a chance to grievance-monger and stoke black racial resentment, told NBC News on Tuesday that Meghan Markle’s accusation that the British royal family is racist is “heartbreaking” but “not a complete surprise.”
In a lucrative and highly-publicized recent interview with race-baiting media mogul Oprah Winfrey, the ruthlessly ambitious former actress and wife of emasculated Prince Harry claimed that an unidentified royal raised concerns about the possible darkness of their son Archie’s skin color. Markle, you see, is approximately a quarter black, which no one would ever know from looking at her, so she perpetually reminds people of it.
Asked about Markle’s comments, Michelle O called them “heartbreaking” and added that “race isn’t a new construct in this world for people of color, and so it wasn’t a complete surprise to hear her feelings and to have them articulated.” Instead of accepting Markle’s charge at face value, the fairer, more diplomatic public response would have been to add “if the accusation is true.” But in Obama’s eyes, the British royal family are privileged white colonialists who don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.
“I think the thing that I hope for, and the thing I think about, is that this, first and foremost, is a family,” Obama added. “I pray for forgiveness and healing for them so that they can use this as a teachable moment for us all.”
It has indeed been a teachable moment. Markle’s ugly, unprovable smear, aimed squarely at the royal family she has so successfully exploited, and shamefully promoted by the biggest media figure in the world, has taught us once again that leftist activists like Markle, Winfrey, and Obama will stoop to any depth in order to stoke the racial animosity on which their agenda depends.
