Former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who is running for the position again, reportedly will hold a fundraiser Thursday night in Las Vegas with Nevada’s Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak, a man accused of abusing his ex-wife and of impropriety by another woman.
One woman, Sisolak’s ex-girlfriend, made allegations against him in 2012, including claims that Sisolak was grossly inappropriate with her then-15-year-old, underage daughter. Another woman, Sisolak’s ex-wife, had made allegations against him of abuse, and stands by those claims today.
McAuliffe has a history of surrounding himself with powerful Democrats exposed for sexual improprieties, such as former President Bill Clinton and disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.
Now McAuliffe is proceeding with a fundraiser alongside Sisolak in Las Vegas at an undisclosed location on Thursday evening. The invitation asks for at least $500 to attend as a guest to up to $5,000 to be a “sponsor.” Donors can give $1,000 to be McAuliffe’s “friend” and $2,500 to be his “ally.”
