Mayorkas: Equity is a ‘Core Founding Principle’ of the U.S.

April 11, 2022

At a meeting hosted late last week by race hustler Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, open borders enthusiast and Department of Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas stated falsely that the “core founding principle” of the United States is “equity.”

“It is all about achieving equity, which is really the core founding principle of our country. We, as a Department of Homeland Security, are your Department of Homeland Security as much as anyone else’s and we need to live that in the equity that we demonstrate,” he blathered.

Equality is an American principle. It means equal opportunity and equal rights before the law. It is anti-discrimination. Equity is a social justice principle which is itself discrimination. Its premise is that present discrimination is justified to balance out past discrimination. It advocates collective racial punishment and the redistribution of wealth, both of which are fundamentally un-American principles.

We are building an immigration system that is designed to ensure due process, respect human dignity, and promote equity,” Mayorkas tweeted in August 2021 [emphasis added]. At a November, 2021 Senate hearing he declared, “Justice is our priority.”

“His is a textbook case of a government official openly and brazenly flouting his duties – and that has nothing to do with the classic Western understanding of justice,” commented Pawel Styrna from the Federation for American Immigration Reform.
