Monday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, network host Chris Matthews conceded he was “not happy” with the slate of Democrat presidential candidates and doubted any of them can beat President Trump in the 2020 general election.
“I’m not happy with this field. I think they’ve got to find a candidate for president that can beat Trump,” Matthews replied when asked for his thoughts on the Democrat lineup.
Asked by the show’s co-host what the problem is with the crop of contenders, Matthews replied: “Obvious problems. They’re all problems,” adding that socialist “Bernie Sanders is not going to be President of the United States” because it “feels” too much like when McGovern lost to Nixon in a landslide.
For once, Matthews’ analysis is on-target. The far-left Democrats have no candidate who can challenge the high-flying Trump. This is why the left has had to resort to a sham impeachment instead of voters to oust him in November.
