A Rasmussen Reports survey released Wednesday found that most Americans greatly disapprove of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who ranks as the most unpopular leader in Congress.
Sixty percent find the 82-year-old congresswoman unfavorable. Among those, 50 percent find her very unfavorable.
“As might be expected, more Democrats (63%) than Republicans (14%) or voters not affiliated with either major party (29%) have a favorable impression of Pelosi. However, 34% of Democrats view Pelosi unfavorably, including 23% who have a Very Unfavorable opinion of their party’s House leader. Eighty-three percent (83%) of Republicans and 63% of unaffiliated voters have an unfavorable impression of Pelosi,” according to the poll.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) fared only slightly better, with 53 percent finding him unfavorable. Fifty-eight percent find Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) unfavorable, and 41 percent find House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) unfavorable as well.
