Media Matters for America, the media watchdog funded by leftwing billionaire George Soros, published a blog post Monday in which it defended the purported “anti-fascists” of Antifa from charges that they used “cement milkshakes” in a demonstration that turned violent in Portland over the weekend.
In the blog post, titled “How conservative figures turned a flimsy rumor about ‘concrete milkshakes’ in Portland into a meme,” Media Matters attempted to cast doubts on police reports that Antifa mixed cement and other caustic agents into milkshakes to be thrown at conservatives, journalists, police, and bystanders.
Other leftist outlets, including Mother Jones and the New York Times, also published articles questioning the “cement milkshake” claim.
