Last weekend on MSNBC’s The Sunday Show, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee conceded that the Biden administration border plan, which has quickly descended into what even some in the left-wing media are calling a crisis, “does not look like it’s working at this time.”
“[N]ow Jonathan, we have a situation that is a humanitarian concern,” Jackson Lee told her interviewer. “We do have issues with any number of children. The numbers are coming up, but I will say that the Biden administration has met with members of Congress. They have a plan. The plan does not look like it’s working at this time, but you have to get it implemented.”
So the plan isn’t working, but they’re going ahead with it anyway.
“[W]e need to put in more resources so that our asylum protocols can go quickly and those that do not meet the standards — they have to be returned safely and securely,” Lee continued. “But what the administration is saying is that they’re not going to cage children.”
They may be saying that, but in fact the administration is caging children, thirteen thousand of them at current count, many of them infected with COVID.
But Jackson Lee admitted that “it does look a little unseemly.” And not just unseemly, but completely unworkable. The Biden administration has completely lost control of the border.
