Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA), the frontrunner in the race for Mayor of Los Angeles, told Fox 11 KTTV on Wednesday that she no longer feels safe in the city.
Bass was the victim of a curious burglary last week in which supposedly safely-stored guns were stolen from her home but everything else of value was left untouched.
During a mayoral debate held earlier in the year, she was asked to rate her personal safety on a sale of 1 to 10, 10 being “feeling the most safe.” Bass responded she felt her personal safety was at a 10. But Bass told KTTV on Wednesday, “My safety was shattered” by the break-in.
Welcome to long-time Democrat-run L.A., Karen, where your party’s policies, including a “defund the police” movement and so-called “criminal reform,” have left citizens vulnerable to a surging wave of violent crime.
