Kamala to Focus on ‘Improving’ Guatemala, Not the Border Crisis

April 27, 2021

In a press briefing Monday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Vice President Kamala Harris, who has been charged with handling the southern border crisis, remains focused on improving living conditions in Central American countries.

“Vice President Harris’s direct engagement is a testament to the importance we are placing on improving conditions in Guatemala,” Psaki said.

It’s also a testament to the importance, or lack thereof, the White House places on improving conditions in the United States, such as stemming the tsunami of illegal aliens overwhelming the border.

“I would tell you also that her focus is not on the border, it’s on addressing the root causes in the Northern Triangle,” Psaki added.

While Harris saunters around Central America helping other countries address climate change and other purported “root causes” of illegal migration to the U.S., America is without a secure southern border and under siege by an economy-destroying number of illegals, including gang and cartel members, sex traffickers, violent criminals, and agents of terrorism.
