Kamala Praises Protesting NBA Players’ ‘Monumental Courage’

August 28, 2020

Failed Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris actually used the phrase “monumental courage” to describe decisions by the NBA and WNBA to cancel games in protest of the officer-involved shooting of a black Wisconsin criminal.

In the wake of the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to boycott their playoff game, the NBA itself announced it would postpone three other scheduled playoff games as a show of support. Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden took to social media to praise the Bucks for their virtue-signaling, tweeting, “This moment demands moral leadership. And these players answered by standing up, speaking out, and using their platform for good. Now is not the time for silence.”

Not to be outdone, Harris, who likely will be the de facto President if Biden is elected in November, tweeted her support for the spoiled, self-righteous players, who included superstar loudmouth LeBron James.

“It takes monumental courage to stand up for what you believe in. NBA and WNBA players, keep standing up and demanding change.” Needless to say, what these players are exhibiting is not “monumental courage” but conformist virtue-signaling. Monumental courage is standing up to violent mobs, not caving in to them.
