Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) admitted Monday that she has smoked pot in the past, saying, “And I inhaled. I did inhale.”
Speaking about the drug on the New York City-based nationally syndicated radio program The Breakfast Club, the 2020 presidential hopeful said, “It was a long time ago but yes. I just broke news.”
Harris said she smoked “a joint” in college and that she supports the legalization of marijuana at the federal level.
“I think it gives a lot of people joy. And we need more joy in the world.”
