Presidential candidate Kamala Harris has risen to third place among her fellow Democrat contenders, according to a post-debate Morning Consult poll released over the weekend.
Morning Consult surveyed 2,407 Democrat primary voters immediately after the debate held June 27-28. It showed Joe Biden leading the pack with 33% support, Sen. Bernie Sanders in second place with 19%, and Harris and Warren virtually tied for third with 12% As Morning Consult noted, “It’s an increase of 6 percentage points from the June 17-23 poll, doubling the senator’s vote share” with regard to Harris.
Mayor Pete Buttigieg ranked in fifth place at 6%, followed by Sen. Cory Booker with 3%, then Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke and Andrew Yang tied at 2%.
