Democrat presidential hopeful Kamala Harris claims Republicans “do not have the courage to stand up to the NRA,” but she does.
“Republicans in Washington don’t have the courage to stand up to the NRA — but I do,” Harris tweeted. She included a link to her gun control platform, listing four gun measures she plans to implement with or without Congress:
1) require people selling more than five guns a year to do background checks when they sell those guns; 2) require that, for any gun dealer that breaks the law, the ATF will take their license; 3) ensure that fugitives are on the prohibited purchasers list for firearms; and 4) expand the prohibited purchasers list by banning gun sales to former boyfriends – not just husbands – convicted of domestic abuse.
