Kamala Compares GOP to Brutal AL Troopers on Bloody Sunday

March 9, 2022

Incompetent, race-mongering Vice President Kamala Harris commemorated the anniversary of “Bloody Sunday” in Selma, Alabama, by comparing Republicans to the brutal state troopers that attacked black civil rights protesters.

On Sunday, March 7, 1965, white Alabama state troopers attacked activists as they crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge in a march for voting rights. According to Kamala, Republicans passing election integrity legislation are just like those troopers.

“Those brave marches continued to push forward to secure the freedom to vote. And they were pushed back. Today we stand on this bridge at a different time. We again, however, find ourselves caught in between injustice and justice, between disappointment and determination, still in a fight, to form a more perfect union,” she said. “Nowhere is that more clear than when it comes to the ongoing fight to secure the freedom to vote.”

This is absurd. No one lacks the freedom to vote in America. There is literally no right-wing suppression of black voters in this country. But Kamala and her fellow Democrats continue to push this hateful fantasy to exacerbate and exploit racial tensions, and to cover for the truth that the real crisis of our elections is not racist voter suppression but widespread Democrat voter fraud.
