Speaking Saturday night at the pro-LGBT Human Rights Campaign annual dinner, former vice president and likely 2020 candidate Joe Biden called for the audience to step up its attacks on the Trump administration.
“We are in a fight for America’s soul,” Biden said. “What has become of us? Our children are listening. Our silence is complicity.”
In the speech, Biden referred to Trump supporters as “forces of intolerance” and the “dregs of society… determined to undermine and roll back the progress you have all made.”
