ISIS Warns Its Terrorists: Avoid Europe ‘Til Coronavirus Passes

March 19, 2020

The Islamic State has warned members of its terror organization to avoid Europe until the coronavirus outbreak is under control, according to American Military News.

The group’s militant operatives learned of the travel ban in the Islamic State newsletter al-Naba just before the weekend got underway. The newsletter reportedly urges jihadists outside of Europe not to enter the continent, while asking supporters and insurgents already present there not to leave.

The newsletter also reminds terrorists serving the Islamic State to wash their hands and cover their mouths when yawning and sneezing. The warning reportedly included a full-page infographic teaching ISIS members how to avoid spreading the pandemic.

There have been no reports yet of coronavirus victims in Syria, where the Islamic State formed, although health statistics coming from the war-torn country are likely to be incomplete.
