Former Attorney General and potential 2020 presidential candidate Eric Holder insisted on Tuesday evening that “a sitting president can be indicted.”
“Constitution does not anticipate allowing a president who used fraud to obtain the office to remain in power,” Holder tweeted. “Executive branch paralysis during the criminal process is not a compelling argument- consider 25th Amendment. A sitting president can be indicted.”
Holder tweeted his remarks hours before Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former personal lawyer, is set to testify before Congress on Wednesday.
