Tuesday on CNN’s New Day, Sen. Mazie Hirono warned that Republicans will attempt to “impugn” the character of Alexander Vindman, a military officer and director for European affairs at the National Security Council, when he testifies at President Trump’s impeachment inquiry.
“As expected, the right-wing will impugn somebody’s character,” Hirono claimed — ironically, considering the left’s fondness for the politics of personal destruction. “This is a decorated soldier, by the way…” Hirono told the host, “so they have nothing to say except to continue to attack the people who come forward to corroborate what the president did.”
“I’m waiting for the moment when the Republicans get up and realize, you know what? Somebody should say to them, ‘Have you no shame?’ They haven’t gotten to that point, apparently,” she added.
It is the Democrats who have no shame, having spent the last three years doing nothing but pursuing the President’s impeachment without a shred of evidence.
