Thursday on MSNBC’s propaganda outlet The ReidOut, Senate Judiciary Committee member Sen. Mazie Hirono told fellow racist, host Joy Reid, that Republicans on the Judiciary Committee attacked Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson (KBJ) with what could be called “dog whistles.”
Hirono claimed that Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) has voted to confirm judges with similar sentencing records to Jackson’s and “that’s why I brought it up, and that’s why I asked Judge Jackson, do you think that these judges who have been sentencing along the lines that you have, that they are soft on child pornographers? Of course, the answer is no. This is what you call a double standard. And they also attacked Judge Jackson for representing — a black woman representing poor people. You know, you could call these things dog whistles.”
Whenever Democrats are unable to refute Republican accusations with facts, evidence, and/or reasoned argument (which is always), they simply claim that the GOP is using some kind of secret coded language (“dog whistles”) to signal their bigotry to each other. Democrats have nothing else to work with but the demonization of their political opponents.
No Republican cares that KBJ is black (it’s the Democrats like Hirono who care, because they’re exploiting her skin color in order to accuse the right of racism). They care that she believes the Constitution is racist and that her judicial decisions are skewed by identity politics, gender ideology, and her support for the anti-American tenets of the racially divisive Critical Race Theory and the false alternative history of the 1619 Project.
