On CNN’s The Lead Tuesday, Sen. Mazie Hirono criticized her Republican colleague Sen. Lindsey Graham for defending President Trump’s tweet referring to the impeachment inquiry as a “lynching.”
“When I heard the president use the word ‘lynching’ with regard to what he’s going through, to liken a constitutional inquiry process to mass murder of blacks by — murder of blacks by mass mobs in our country is just — I was so appalled that I hardly had any words to say,” Hirono said. “I’m just appalled,” she later reiterated.
Commenting on Graham’s defense of the word’s use, Hirono continued: “I totally disagree with him. And I am just so saddened and appalled by Lindsey’s continuing defense of the president.”
As Breitbart News pointed out, the hypocritical Democrats were fine with the word “lynching” when applied to Republicans impeaching then-President Bill Clinton. Breitbart cites many examples of Dems using the “appalling” word.
