During an episode of her podcast You and Me Both on Monday, bitter, failed Trump challenger Hillary Clinton floated a conspiracy theory about Trump and Russian collusion when she stated she would “love” to see the President’s phone records to find out “whether he was talking to Putin the day that the insurgents invaded our Capitol.”
Hillary and her guest, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, discussed the events of January 6, the day Antifa-infilrated protesters breached the U.S. Capitol. Hillary, one of the central champions of the debunked Trump-Russia collusion narrative, described Trump as “a president who disdains democracy” and who “has other agendas.”
“I hope historically we will find out who he’s beholden to, who pulls his strings,” Hillary mused without a shred of evidence that Trump is anyone’s puppet. “I would love to see his phone records to see whether he was talking to Putin the day that the insurgents invaded our Capitol.”
Pelosi agreed that with Trump, “all roads lead to Putin,” then claimed falsely that any Trump supporters involved in the Capitol Hill unrest “unbeknownst to them, maybe, are Putin puppets. They were doing Putin’s business when they did that at the incitement of an insurrection by the president of the United States.”
Fact checks: 1) there was no insurrection; 2) Trump did not incite an insurrection or violence; 3) Trump and his supporters are not Putin’s puppets; 4) Hillary is a Saul Alinsky-trained propagandist; 5) Pelosi is an impeachment-obsessed partisan who has lost control of the radicals in her Party; and 6) both are liars consumed by a lust for power.
