Stating on Twitter that she supports impeachment, failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton declared Wednesday that President Trump has “betrayed our country” and is a “clear and present danger.”
This follows Nancy Pelosi’s launch of an impeachment inquiry over a purported “whistleblower” complaint that Trump urged the Ukraine President in a phone call to look into the business dealings there of Joe Biden‘s son.
“The president of the United States has betrayed our country,” Hillary tweeted. “That’s not a political statement—it’s a harsh reality, and we must act.” It actually is a political statement; the Democrats worry they cannot beat Trump in 2020, so they are desperate to impeach. And it is not a harsh reality, because Trump shrewdly released the unredacted text of the call, revealing no substance to the accusation.
“He is a clear and present danger to the things that keep us strong and free,” added Hillary, who was at the center of a national security scandal over her illegal use of a private email server. “I support impeachment.”
