During an interview on Friday, Hillary Clinton joked about how black men like Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and former Attorney General Eric Holder “all look alike.”
Clinton made the ill-advised quip in response to Recode’s Kara Swisherabout, who had asked the failed presidential candidate what she thought about Holder’s comment about political opponents that “when they go low, we kick them,” a quote she misattributed to Booker.
“Well, that was Eric Holder,” Clinton corrected.
“Eric Holder, oh, Eric Holder, sorry,” Swisher said.
“Yeah, I know they all look alike,” Clinton quipped to a wave of laughter and applause in the room.
