During an address on Hamas’ Al-Aqsa TV on Friday, Hamas terrorist leader Fathi Hamad (sometimes spelled Hammad) called on Palestinians in Jerusalem to buy cheap knives in order to behead Jews.
“People of Jerusalem, we want you to cut off the heads of the Jews with knives,” Hamad said, clarifying to “cut their [carotid] artery” as he demonstrated doing so with his hand. “Buy a knife, sharpen it, put it here [against the neck], and just cut off [their heads],” he said. “It costs just five shekels [roughly $1.50]. With those five shekels you will humiliate the Jewish state.”
Explicitly noting that “Jews” are the enemy, and not the euphemistic “Israelis” or “Zionists,” Hamad quoted the Religion of Peace’s Quran in claiming that Jews are most hostile: “You shall find the strongest in enmity towards the believers to be the Jews and the polytheists.”
“The Jews have spread corruption and have acted with arrogance, and their moment of reckoning has come,” he added. “The moment of [their] destruction at your hands has arrived.”
“If you want to understand why 30 years after Oslo [Peace Accords] and 16 years after Israel’s complete withdrawal from Gaza there still isn’t peace, this here is a good starting point,” responded Daniel Schwammenthal, director of the AJC Transatlantic Institute (TAI).
