Former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum has suggested he will be making a big announcement on March 20 in Miami.
Gillum issued a press release sparking speculation about a presidential run in 2020. “We need to do everything in our power to make Donald Trump a one-term president,” the release said. A video posted to his Twitter account features clips from his failed 2018 gubernatorial campaign and chants of “Bring it Home,” his rallying cry.
“We came so close to winning our state back last year,” said Gillum. “It still stings — especially when I think about the people who lose when we lose elections.”
