In an interview Wednesday with Italian newspaper La Repubblica, left-wing billionaire financier George Soros declared President Trump is “fighting” for his political life and would do “anything to remain in power.”
“Even in the United States, a confidence trickster like Trump can be elected president and undermine democracy from within,” Soros said. “But in the U.S. you have a great tradition of checks and balances and established rules. And above all, you have the Constitution. So I am confident Trump will turn out to be a transitory phenomenon,” ending in November.
Soros then proclaimed that Trump remains “very dangerous,” claiming “he’s fighting for his life and he will do anything to stay in power.” Soros had spoken similarly in a May interview with the Independent, when he stated that Trump “is literally fighting for his life.”
Soros wishes. In fact, it is Trump’s doddering opponent Joe Biden who is fighting for his political life, and his unlikable VP pick Kamala Harris won’t do anything to shore up his chances in November.
