On Wednesday, actress Debra Messing of Will & Grace fame slammed actress/activist Susan Sarandon in a Twitter thread over a Variety headline which suggested that Sarandon was crediting President Trump with inspiring women and minorities.
“STFU SUSAN,” tweeted Messing. “Oh yes, PLEASE let’s give Trump CREDIT. I mean how else are you able to walk out on the street.” She rambled on about “this CATASTROPHE of a President who [sic] you said was better” than Hillary Clinton.
Sarandon responded to Messing’s angry rant that the headline, which read, “Donald Trump has, if anything, inspired more women and people of color to run for office, says actress Susan Sarandon,” was misleading.
