A 2017 medical document released Wednesday by Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison‘s former girlfriend said she feared “retribution” if she revealed her allegations of abuse against him.
Karen Monahan posted the Minnesota clinic’s write-up from her visit to corroborate accusations of physical and emotional abuse, which Ellison has denied.
“She states that she was in a very stressful environment for years, emotional and physical abuse by a partner” she identified as Ellison, said the clinic’s notes, “… and she is worried about retribution if she identifies him publicly.”
