Durbin: Biden Wasn’t Going to Stand on the Sideline and Tweet

October 4, 2021

Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union, Sen. Dick Durbin said President Joe Biden went to Capitol Hill to discuss the infrastructure and reconciliation bills with Democrats because he “wasn’t going to stand by the sideline and issue tweets.”

Asked about the astronomically costly spending bill, Durbin replied, “I support the $3.5 trillion. I believe the elements have been stated over and over again. They’re good for the country and needed for families and by our nation…”

Fact check: no, they’re not good for the country and needed by families. They’re economy-destroying. But that’s the Democrat way.

“Thank goodness we have other players committed with the president arriving in the house last week,” Durbin further blathered.” That was historic. It shows he wasn’t going to stand by the sideline and issue tweets. He rolled up his sleeves. He walked to Capitol Hill or traveled to Capitol Hill.”

This suggestion that the mentally and physically decrepit Biden is somehow more actively engaged as President than his predecessor Donald Trump would be hilarious if it weren’t so tragic.
