Tuesday on WDET-FM radio, Michigan Democrat Rep. Elissa Slotkin declared that the domestic terrorists of Antifa are “boogeymen who aren’t there,” adding that it is “an ideology… not an organized group.”
“What you will hear, both in private and in public, the FBI will tell you right now there is not one open case of domestic terrorism, of violent extemism, against the group called Antifa,” claimed the chair of the House Subcommittee on Intelligence and Counterterrorism.
First of all, the FBI is no longer a crime-fighting organization but a Deep State-controlled, politicized smear organization. When the FBI says Antifa is not an organization but merely an “idea,” they are lying.
“It’s an ideology. It’s not an organized group with leaders and money and organization.” Slotkin added. “It’s very very different, and there’s no equivalence between Antifa and a group like the Proud Boys or the Oath Keepers who were instrumental in coming into the Capitol on the sixth.”
She’s correct that there is no equivalent between Antifa and, say, the Oath Keepers, who aren’t violent domestic terrorists hiding behind masks and shielding themselves from scrutiny by operating out of decentralized cells rather than a traditionally structured organization with full transparency.
Slotkin continued: “I spend a lot of time trying to make sure my colleagues have full access to that data, and I’ve been clear with them that we’re not going to have a circus in this committee and focus on boogeymen who aren’t there. I understand it’s a political talking point for people, but you cannot misstate facts.”
Slotkin is the one “misstating facts,” to put it politely. Anyone who has ever been assaulted violently and/or killed by Antifa’s black bloc terrorists, or had their property destroyed by these rampaging anarchists, can attest to the fact that just because Antifa doesn’t have a board of directors and a home office mailing address doesn’t mean they are merely boogeymen.
Dozens and dozens of members of Antifa have been arrested and charged with crimes. Hours of video footage exist of the black-masked terrorists in action. Social media abounds with accounts of local Antifa groups. Slotkin is providing cover for their terrorism because she approves of leftist political violence.
