On CNN’s Reliable Sources last weekend, actor and unhinged anti-Trump activist Robert De Niro ranted about President Trump and Fox News, claiming Trump is medically unwell and “like a gangster.”
“This is a crazy world. What is going on? This guy is crazy. We’ve got to get him out,” De Niro said, then added, “Possibly medically, too, I’m starting to think.” As evidence, De Niro complained incoherently about an incident when Trump was sweating profusely and didn’t bother to “at least ask somebody for a handkerchief or something and dry himself off. There is something very strange about that.”
When the host pointed out that “folks on Fox [News] come after ” De Niro for criticizing Trump, the onscreen tough guy replied in his characteristically profane manner, “Fuck ’em. Fuck ’em.” He later added, “In this country where this guy is like a gangster. He’s come along, and he’s said things, done things we say over and over again. This is terrible. We’re in a terrible situation. We’re in a terrible situation, and this guy just keeps going on and on without being stopped.”
