While promoting his latest film in the UK, actor and Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferer Robert De Niro couldn’t resist attacking President Trump, calling him a “dirty player” and declaring that he “can’t wait to see” Trump in jail.
“Today, everything’s been turned upside-down because of Trump because he’s such a dirty player,” De Niro said at at the BFI London Film Festival. “It’s amazing to me that’s he’s… getting away with it. He won’t get away with it forever, but he is getting away with saying these things about every institution. We have to defend these institutions, plus the Fourth Estate, the press, because he’s trying to destroy them and for only one reason: to save himself. And we all know this.”
De Niro, who has spent much of his career glorifying gangsters, also told The Guardian that Trump is “a gangster president” and said, “I can’t wait to see him in jail,” something that’s never going to happen.
De Niro’s obsession with Trump leads him to vent profanities at the President at every public opportunity.
