De Blasio Privately Says He Plans to Run for New York Governor

October 7, 2021

Incompetent New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is reportedly telling people privately that he plans to run for governor of New York in 2022.

During a recent appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, de Blasio addressed rumors of a possible gubernatorial campaign, saying, “I believe in public service. I’ve done it my whole life. I want to keep working on crucial issues and causes. I want to keep serving in one way or another in the future, so I’m going to look at different options. Absolutely.”

The New York Times reports that de Blasio has also sounded out former aides about their interest in working on a potential campaign, and has made overtures to labor leaders a well. His longtime pollster conducted a private survey to assess de Blasio’s appeal beyond New York City.

Politico reports that De Blasio has already “phoned several labor leaders in recent days to gauge support,” according to a union affiliate. “He’s letting the leaders know that he’s considering running for governor,” the source said.

If he is elected, all state New Yorkers can expect to experience the same skyrocketing crime, defunding of police, and racial violence that the avowed “democratic socialist” brought to the city he helped destroy as mayor.
